KFC Cheese Top Burger

I sure do love KFC Chicken. Like many city dwellers, I grew up eating the familiar yet secretly guarded 11-spice recipe of KFC chicken. Aside from their original chicken, one thing I also love is their affordable chicken burger which I craved once in while as an afternoon or midnight snack on the go. Recently though, they decided to do sort of an upgrade with this chicken burger, giving the public this streetwise Cheese Top Burger.

In no time, this new offering received quite a public uproar. Taking the cheese off the patty and placing it on top of a burger? Hmmm...quite an idea for a sandwich...

Recipe: Homemade Banana Cake

homamde banana cake

Finally, months and months after we purchased our first Elba Gas Range, mom was able to bake her now most wanted dessert, a homemade banana cake. Inspired from big baking houses Pan de Manila and Red Ribbon's version of banana cake, I helped mom trying to come up with our own and cheaper version as well.

Making Korea's Egg Cake

After attending the recent Manila Food and Beverage Expo, I want to share this one cool food discovery from the said event - Korea's Egg Cake.
This is one of the booths that caught my curiosity as I saw groups of people watching this Korean man. What could he be cooking? After watching him for a minute and having read what was posted below, I realized he was making an Egg Cake. I find the process quite amazing, reminding me of mooncakes. Simple, really, but since it's something beyond the usual cooking method that most of us do back home and in fact something I haven't seen even on TV before, this Egg Cake is pretty much surprising!

Famous Durian Tart from Mindanao

I've written here before about mom's undying love for durian. And although I'm not much fan of its fruit per se, I've always love munching its candy bar and durian tart version. Last week, another relative from Mindanao bought large pouches of little golden durian tarts. This time free from that uncanny smell, lol! Sweet eats!

Auntie Anne's Cinnamon Pretzel

While waiting for our friend Ava, MC and I grabbed ourselves some snacks and decided to eat at Auntie Anne's. We both ordered the Cinnamon Pretzel, chocolate dip to partner with it and a cup of iced tea, with a total price of P95 - perfect afternoon snack.

For those thinking about their diet, you may want to check out this product's nutrition facts here.
