KFC Cheese Top Burger

I sure do love KFC Chicken. Like many city dwellers, I grew up eating the familiar yet secretly guarded 11-spice recipe of KFC chicken. Aside from their original chicken, one thing I also love is their affordable chicken burger which I craved once in while as an afternoon or midnight snack on the go. Recently though, they decided to do sort of an upgrade with this chicken burger, giving the public this streetwise Cheese Top Burger.

In no time, this new offering received quite a public uproar. Taking the cheese off the patty and placing it on top of a burger? Hmmm...quite an idea for a sandwich...

KFC Streetwise Spoonfuls: Mango Cheescake

KFC Spoonful: Mango Cheesecake
I've written on my previous post that I am planning to get a taste of KFC's Streetwise Spoonful specifically aiming for the Mango Cheesecake flavor since both tv and print ads reminds me of my all time favorite dessert, the mango float. Got the chance to get outside the house this week for some banking errands and when I finally set foot at the KFC branch in Robinsons Sta. Rosa, I immediately ordered one along with the snackbox for a short merienda treat. I am huge KFC fan since time immemorial, and I've written a couple of KFC related posts in this blog but sadly this dessert was quite a disappointment for me :(

I am aware that print ads will always look better than how a product actually looks, but damn, the size of the cup is too freakin' small! I didn't mind at first because I expected that the taste would be exceptional, but nah, it's not! I know it wouldn't be tasting like an African Mango, but still,  it doesn't have that fresh mango zest, I tasted the cream more than the mango. It was not that addicting so to speak. Will I try it again? Probably not with another mango cheesecake, but I will still try out their other spoonful offerings, Choco Banana Cream perhaps?

Since I love eating chicken, I therefore love KFC! And so when I learned about KFC having a So Good Moments contest online, I jumped and submitted my entry. Weeks after, they announced the first batch of winners and there goes my video entry included in the list of winners! Yey!

What is the recipe for KFC mushroom soup? Anyone knows?

I know a lot of people are asking the secret behind KFC's famous chicken gravy. I've seen sites trying to imitate its luscious gravy taste. But for now, what I'm really curious at is KFC's mushroom soup. It's definitely one of my repeat orders along with their Original Chicken. I would love to try this at home, however, I'm having a hard time looking for mushroom soup recipes online that is close to that of KFC's. If only Col. Sanders still here, I'll definitely give him a call!

I hope this recipe is included in America's Secret Recipes Cookbook.

KFC Famous Bowl

Wanting to ease our hunger, me and my brother hurriedly stopped by at KFC for some quick afternoon snack. I ordered my favorite snack box while he ordered a set of famous bowl for about Php65. A bowl with layers of KFC flavors - bitesize boneless chicken, creamy mashed potato, KFC's signature gravy, sweet corn and shredded cheese serve in a convenient bowl.
