For only Php37 a cup, this Milo Blast, part of Jollibee's Sundae Mix-Ins is a great way to beat the heat this summer. This vanilla ice cream mixed with crushed cookies and the much familiar milo cereal balls and milo powder is a great way to bond with family or friends during a hot and humid afternoon.

Jollibee: Chicken and Mushroom Pasta
![]() |
Jollibee's Chicken and Mushroom Pasta |
Went to Manila last week and felt the craziness and stress of the holiday rush. There's heavy traffic on the road and human traffic inside malls, making it too dreadful even for a former-city girl like me. I waited for a friend at Landmark and decided to kill time at the foodcourt until I chanced upon Jollibee's newest offering (not highly commercialized though) Chicken and Mushroom Pasta. It looks promising as per their poster and it sets me up for a high expectation. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver much for me, nothing memorable and would personally stick to their signature meat spaghetti dish.

Jollibee: Grilled Pork Tenders
Jollibee Grilled Pork Tenders |
I am definitely feeling the competition between Jollibee and KFC. When one new commercial airs, another one from the competition pops out. Interestingly with almost close to similar offer. Jollibee has always thrive in bringing new food offering catering to the Filipino palate, but I guess with the Mang Inasal up their sleeve, they are serving more tatak Pinoy inspired meals. Jollibee's latest dish, Grilled Pork Tenders comes with soy sauce and kalamansi boasts of its tenderness which very much lives up to its claim. However, it felt like I'm just eating tocino like barbeque that's just a little more tender, something to that effect. The dish sells for Php68.

Jollibee: Chicken Nugget Crunchers
This is actually a late post but I still wanted to share my views regarding Jollibee's Chicken Nugget Crunchers simply because I realized that I actually made a similar version of the dish months before Jollibee launched this meal. It was I think July of this year when Jollibee promoted a TV ad saying they're made with seasoned tender chicken and carrot bits in crunchy, golden yellow coating. Fortified with vitamin A so both kids and moms love this plus it comes with a flavorful barbeque sauce. The meal was conceptualized with both parents and children in mind, a concept that has inspired me as well to make my version of Chicken Nuggets with Dipping Sauce during my brother's birthday last February.
It may be of healthier version of the regular looking nuggets, but hey, it's still fried. I just hope they would come up with more healthier versions of their langhap sarap meals just like their recent offering, Hash Brown Burger. Meals that are baked since many people especially of retiring age that has been Jollibee's loyal consumers for decades wanted something good for their body. Late Snack: Jollibee's Hash Brown Burger
I have been wanting to try the latest food offerings that have been conquering TV ads these days. Kudos to the people behind those super effective commercials. You people are making me crave over fast food again! First on my list is, Jollibee's Hash Brown Burger. And because of the freakin' typhoons recently, it was hard for me to get out of the house and visit the nearest Jollibee store. Good thing my brother informed me he would be going home on Friday night. I begged for him to bring home a Hash Brown Burger as my pasalubong. Being the obedient brother he is, he bought home two :)

And so I opened the first box and there I finally saw the treat, the authentic langhap sarap smell is irresistible and I can't wait to give in for my first bite. It was indeed crispy and the hash browns sandwiching the burger complements each other's taste and texture. Much more, it feels good to eat something that's baked and not fried so it's definitely healthier. I ate it just like how I would eat a burger. It was already late at night so I just contented myself to stop after the first box, I feel full anyway.
The following morning, I re-heated the second box of hash brown burger and ate it this time with a fork (pa-girl lang) On to my next target, the yummy looking spoonful of desserts from KFC! :)
