Recipe: Porkchop with Apple-Orange Sauce

It's been a while since I played around with porkchops in the kitchen so when I found this easy recipe from my Yummy Magazine, I decided to make Porkchop with Apple Orange Sauce. Probably the better known partner known for porkchops whether fried or inihaw is ketchup. I really recommend my readers to try this delicious recipe for a change, the apple-orange sauce gives that certain freshness to the meal. More so, this dish also adds flair to an otherwise just plain old porkchop recipes.

Ingredients:
4-8 pcs of Porkchops
4 tbsps of olive oil
4 tbsps soy sauce
1/2 cup of liquid seasoning
1/2 tsp of fresh cracked black pepper

For the sauce:
2 tbsps of butter
2 tbsps of garlic, minced
1/3 cup apple slices
1 cup orange juice (minute maid pulpy orange)
2 tbsps liquid seasoning
1 tsp white sugar

Procedure:
1. Marinate the porkchops in a container with olive oil, soy sauce, liquid seasoning and pepper. Let it stand for about 30 minutes before cooking.
2. Preheat olive oil in a pan for about 30 seconds, then sear the marinated porkchops for 2 minutes on each side (depending on the thickness of the porkchop).
3. Place the porkchops on a plate and set it aside.

For the sauce:
1. Melt the butter in a separate saucepan.
2. Add in garlic, aplle slices, orange juice, liquid seasoning and white sugar.
3. Stir ingredients together and let it simmer until the sauce is slightly thickened.
4. Pour the sauce mixture on top of the plated porkchops.

  2. Thanks. It's my first try to cook the recipe and when I saw a minute maid in the pantry I decided to use it instead of the real orange fruit. It surprisingly turned out well. My whole family loves the contrast between the apple and orange, delicious! :)

I love cooking and I think it resembles a bit with Sherry Porkchop Recipe.
But I guess it has a different kick :)
