Recipe: Baked Spareribs in Honey Sauce

A few days back, mom and I decided to use the turbo broiler, something we haven't used for a while. And since it will just be a few days before Christmas, we prepared something we haven't cooked, fresh from an old recipe book, Baked Spareribs in Honey Sauce.
Baked Spareribs in Honey Sauce
Ingredients:

1 k spareribs, cut in serving pieces
1 onion, quartered
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt

(update: the picture below was taken during our 2nd attempt to cook this recipe. We now bought the spareribs from the mall so it has a nicer cut unlike the first that was bought from the local market)

Combine ingredients together in a saucepan. Boil 2 hours or until spareribs are tender. Drain. Arrange spareribs in a baking pan, set aside. Prepare sauce.

Sauce

1 tbsp ginger juice
1/2 c honey (we used Lake Sebu's honey)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 onion,minced
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Honey Sauce
(Update: Do put all the ingredients for the Honey Sauce in a blender. We blended them well during our second attempt and it tastes a lot better since it really extracts all the juices from honey and onion.)

Blend ingredients together. Pour over spareribs. Bake at 400F for 3 minutes. Serve with Sweet Potato-Bacon Balls
