I have previously shared a healthier take on an all time favorite Filipino merienda treat before, the fried bananas. Healthier in a sense that there's no sugar in it. But of course the real deal is the simple combination of saging na saba or cardava banana in english, oil and brown sugar. We made this afternoon treat with a little twist by simply slicing the bananas before frying and coating it with the sugar, In this sense, we get more sugar crunch and you get that pica-pica feel. Serve these mini banana que's in a large bowl and give the family a fork each and attack!
