Recipe: Sinigang na Tanigue

For today's recipe, I have to give the credit again to Ate Mechie, the best home chef cook I've known so far. The person who taught me the secret for the most delicious marinated bbq ever. This time, she taught me how to cook the most delicious sinigang I've ever tasted - I just love the sourness of this dish most especially when served hot.

Sinigang na Tanigue 

Ingredients:
1. a kilo of Fish (bangus, tanigue or talakitok)
2. 10-12 pieces of kalamansi (the secret ingredient to achieve that sourness taste)
3. 6 tomatoes
4. 1 onion, sliced
5. kangkong (water spinach)
6. 1 eggplant
7. 3 green chili (sili)
8. 6 cups of water
9. salt to taste

Procedure:
1. Boil tomatoes and onion together with 6 cups of water
2. Add fish, sili, talong, kangkong and cook for about 40 minutes or until fish is cooked
3. Simmer, add kalamansi and salt to taste

Sinigang na Tanigue
This healthy dish is great for those craving for something hot and sour, perfect to combat the holiday chill this season. :)
