Dole's Sweet Corn Cobbler |
Now here's something I discovered during my one week stay at our province in Mindanao. During the wake of my lola, (the reason why I wasn't able to attend as one of
Boy Kuripot's winner for the Sweer Surrender Expo) my aunt, an employee of Dole Philippines, knowing how addicted I am to corns or "mais" handed me down a plate full of yummy vibrant yellow mais! She said further that they all came from Dole Farm somewhere in South Cotabato, I think. Dole's Sweet Corn Cobbler's vacuum packed, heatable and ready to eat is currently exported outside Philippines. It looks like they don't massively market this product locally since obviously, Filipinos will still buy something fresh and cheap. This corn alone sells for P50!
But hey, this corn is deliciously sweet!
