Snack of the Week: Ginataan

pot of Ginataan
Last month, I went back to province for my lola's wake who at age 89 succumb to pneumonia. Because we are a big family, we usually served hundreds of visitors mourning with us everyday for a week at the ancestral house. Ate Mechie, who also taught me how to make Sinigang na Tanigue, cooked this tasty Ginataan otherwise known as Binignit in the province in a huge pot (and I mean huge!) It's one of the food we served during the wake, another Filipino favorite.
